Regular Season Round 2: Chalon - Enisey 87-79

Elan Chalon improved to 2-0 record in EuroChallenge after the game against Enisey. Chalon/Saor used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Krasnoyarsk 87:79 on Tuesday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Enisey Krasnoyarsk won third quarter 26-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Chalon/Saor won last quarter 19-12. It was a great shooting night for Chalon/Saor especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Malcolm Delaney scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Bulgarian-French forward Ilian Evtimov chipped in 20 points and 4 steals during the contest. American center Lonny Baxter responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Israeli-French point guard Afik Nissim scored 15 points and 7 assists. Four Chalon/Saor and five Enisey Krasnoyarsk players scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor maintains first position in Group E with 2-0 record. Loser Enisey Krasnoyarsk keeps the second place with one game lost. Chalon/Saor will face Antwerp Giants (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will play against U-Mobitelco in Cluj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
