Ventspils edged Nizhny Novgorod in a thriller to take 2-1 record in Group D. The Latvian side used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Nizhny Novgorod 77:75. It was a key game for the top position in Group D. BC Nizhny Novgorod was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 20-16 charge of Ventspils, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Ventspils especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Steven Gray who scored 19 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Jahmar Young chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Michal Ignerski recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and Serbian guard Nemanja Protic added 18 points respectively in defeat. Ventspils keep a position of Group D leader, which they share with Khimik. BC Nizhny Novgorod dropped to the bottom place with two games lost.
