Regular Season Round 4: Ventspils - Khimik 81-55

BK Ventspils edged Khimik for Group D top place in EuroChallenge. The Latvian side needed 81:55 for 3-1 record, while the Ukrainian team fell at 2-2. Both teams entered the clash with 2-1 records on top of the group and desired to become the only leader of it. The hosts started with 18-13 in the first period and increased to 14 points at the halftime. Bakic made the score 40:26, while Martins Meiers opened the second half for another three points. Jahmar Young nailed three for 53:34 and Laksa brought 57:43. Khimik however won the third quarter 22-20 as Aaron McGhee closed the period at 60:48. Moreover the latter reduced to 10 points early in the fourth, while Bakic closed the his team run at 75:50. Martins Meiers top-scored for the winners with 16 points and Arturs Berzins posted 15. Jahmar Young delivered 14, while Steven Gray notched 11. Reyshawn Terry chipped in with 15 points in defeat, Darrel Mitchell had 14 and Aaron McGhee netted 13.
