Regular Season Round 5: Leiden - Goettingen 80-71

Leiden closed Round 5 with the win over Goettingen in Holland. The Dutch team celebrated a 80:71 victory for 2-3 record to keep the guests winless. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BG Goettingen won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Leiden looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Seamus Boxley stepped up and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and guard Arvin Slagter chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Philip Noch responded with 19 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) and Raymond Sykes scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Leiden will face league's second-placed Armia in Tbilisi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BG Goettingen will play at home against the league's leader Besiktas in Istanbul and hopes to get finally their first victory.
