Regular Season Round 5: BK Pardubice - BK Prostejov 98-84

BK Pardubice wins the Czech battle in EuroChallenge to tie both records with BK Prostejov at 3-2. The hosts needed 98:84 on Wednesday to keep the chances alive for the next round. The game was mostly controlled by BK Pardubice. BK Prostejov was better in fourth quarter 32-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BK Pardubice shot 61.4 percent from the field and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. BK Pardubice outrebounded BK Prostejov 31-18 including a 25-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. BK Prostejov was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Maurice Hampton stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and Marcus Arnold chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Arnold is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Travis Peterson responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Arvydas Eitutavicius scored 21 points. BK Pardubice will face bottom-ranked Hoverla in Frankivsk in the last round. BK Prostejov will play on the road against the league's leader Chorale de Roanne.
