Roanne earned the first win in EuroChallenge Last 16 Group I. They fired past ZZ Leiden in Netherlands. Philippe Braud delivered 18 points to lead the effort. Roanne ensured a strong start to the game. The visitors limited Leiden to 8 points in the first ten minutes taking a 19:8 lead. ZZ Leiden bounced back in the second term. The hosts adjusted their rhythm and cut the deficit to 8 points at the interval 26:34. Leiden got within just three points following a three-pointer from Slagter. But Roanne accounted for several timely buckets and cleared off to a safe 7-point lead with one quarter remaining 40:47. Leiden refuse to go away as they narrowed the gap to three points again midway through the fourth term 51:54. The hosts got within two points with 41 seconds to go however Dylan Page nailed a triple and Hillman followed with a hook as Roanne escaped with a tough win at the end. Dylan Page posted 16 points, while John Holland, Uche Nsonwu-Amadi and Alexis Tanghe contributed 7 points each in the victory. Worthy de Jong delivered 22 points for ZZ Leiden. Seamus Boxley and Jevohn Shepherd had 12 points each in the loss.
