Aalstar edged Telekom Baskets in their start of the EuroChallenge Last 16. The Belgian team needed a strong first half and reached 98:86 victory in Aalst. The game was mostly controlled by Okapi Aalstar. Telekom Baskets was better in third quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Okapi Aalstar made 23-of-27 free shots during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for forward Christopher Copeland who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Justin Holiday contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Chris Ensminger answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Jared Jordan added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Telekom Baskets. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
