Leiden upset Ventspils in Latvia for 1-1 record in Group I. The team from Holland celebrated 73:69 victory in Baltic State. The hosts started with 5-0 run and Berzins Arturs increased to high 21:5. The Latvian side led 25:9 after the first 10 minutes, however could not win the game. Diane Mamadi gave the biggest lead in the game at 39:17, but the advantage melted in the second half. Leiden responded first with 21-14 in the third period for 57:43. They erupted with 30-12 in the last stanza to win the game. Boxley Seamus paced all the winners with 20 points and Jackson Thomas nailed 14. Slagter Arvin and Kherrazi Mohammed followed them with 11 points each. Young Jahmar and Berzins Arturs ended up with 17 points apiece, while the latter also grabbed 11 rebounds. Abernethy Todd posted 12 and Diane Mamadi nailed 10.
