EWE Basket rout ZZ Leiden in Oldenburg for 2-1 record in Group I. The German team did not have much troubles in a 85:62 victory. The team from Netherlands fell at 1-2 record. The hosts took the early lead in the game and enjoyed 27:14 after the first period. Moreover they added 23-13 in the second frame for 23-point lead at the halftime. In the third quarter EWE Basket produced a 24-21 surge and led the game to the victory. The guests managed to win the last period 14-11 but fell in the game. Hasbrouck top-scored for the winners with 16 points and Burrell posted 13. Smeulders collected 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Majstorovic added 10. Boxley netted 20 points in the losing effort and Worthy De Jong scored 11.
