Ventspils upset Chorale de Roanne in France in Round 3 of EuroChallenge Group I. The Latvian side celebrated the initial victory to stay alive in the tournament. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Chorale de Roanne won third quarter 22-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Chorale de Roanne used huge pressure winning it 18-12 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 13-16. Ventspils shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was Mamadi Diane who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Martins Meiers chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was John Holland who recorded 31 points and 8 rebounds and Uche Nsonwu-Amadi added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively.
