Chalon wins unpredictable Group J campaign after 64:84 loss in Belgium. The French team as well as three other finished with 3-3 record, but on top. They together with Szolnoki Olaj advanced to the Quarterfinals of the tournament. The game was mostly controlled by Okapi Aalstar. Chalon/Saor managed to win second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Okapi Aalstar shot 60.4 percent from the field and had 21 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Chalon/Saor only scored two points from the stripe. 24 personal fouls committed by Chalon/Saor helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Christopher Copeland who scored 25 points and 5 assists. Stefon Jackson chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Blake Schilb who recorded 25 points and 4 steals and Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu added 4 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
