Quarter-Finals Round 1: Chalon - Roanne 75-73

Chalon wins the French battle in EuroChallenge Quarterfinals First Leg. Chalon overcame Roanne 75:73 in Chalon sur Saone. Chalon won the opening period 15-11 but kept only 1-point advantage at the halftime. Roanne needed 17-14 in the second period to reduce to 29:28 after 20 minutes. Moreover the latter won the third period 27-24 and took 55:53 at the end of the third stanza. Chalon sur Saone however scored the last 8 points for the winners to seal the victory. Chalon/Saor made 22-of-24 charity shots during the game. Chorale de Roanne was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Blake Schilb stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and his fellow Malcolm Delaney chipped in 18 points and 10 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). At the losing side American forward Rick Jackson responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Uche Nsonwu-Amadi scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Chorale de Roanne's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
