Regular Season Round 2: Etha - Tofas 57-78

Tofas cruise to a big win in Nicosia in Round 2 of EuroChallenge. The Turkish side celebrated their first 78:57 victory for 1-1 record in Group A. The team from Cyprus meanwhile fell at 0-2 record. Tofas erupted with 28-15 in the first period and never looked behind at the rest of the game. Both teams nailed 14 points each in the second frame for 42:29 guests’ lead. Burtt Steven opened the third period for 44:31 and then Nichols Austin brought 50:37 midway through the third quarter. Etha however reduced to 48:55 at the end of 30 minutes, but failed in the last stanza. Due to 23-9 the guests managed to escape with the easy win. Ukrainian naturalized Burtt Steven led the way with 23 points and Nichols Austin added 15. Elonu Chinemelu collected 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Geyik Samet had 9. Cup Dejan finished the game with 17 points in the losing effort, while Poole Donte poured in 10. Adegboye Ogooluwa tossed in 9 and Bergstedt Jonas Zohore scored 8.
