Top 16 Round 1: Aalstar - Telekom Baskets 60-65

Telekom Baskets became the only team to win away from home at EuroChallenge Round 1 of Top 16. The German side overcame Aalstar 65:60 in Belgium. A tight contest in which neither team ever led by more than five - and the lead changed hands 29 times - went all the way to the wire. Aalstar took 19-18 after the first period, but trailed 1 point at the halftime. The hosts won the third period 18-16 anf grabbed 1 point entering the last stanza. Telekom Baskets meanwhile needed a 16-10 surge to seal the road win. Kyle Weems nailed 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann accounted for 9 points and 11 rebounds. Veikalas scored 12, while Ensminger posted 10. John Tofi came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Noah Hartsock added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Okapi Aalstar in the defeat. Raivio followed them with 12 points in a loss.
