Top 16 Round 2: Ventspils - Karsiyaka 81-86

Karsiyaka upset Ventspils in Latvia in Round 2 of Top 16 of EuroChallenge. The Turkish team grabbed 86:81 win for 2-0 record in Group I. The Latvian side suffered their second loss and dropped at 0-2 record. Karsiyaka came to Latvia with one victory earlier and started with 21:18. They posted another 21 points in the second frame, but it was enough only to keep 3-point advantage at the halftime. Ventspils replied with 22-18 in the third period and took the lead entering the final stanza. Karsiyaka however replied with 26-20 surge in the last period to seal the victory. Dixon Bobby paced all the winners with 32 points, while Diebler Jon had 17. Thomas Will collected 15 points and 11 boards, whilst Aminu Alade had 13. Berzins Arturs ended up with 19 points in defeat and Campbell Folarin as well as Valters Sandis had 14 each. Meiers Martins followed them with 13 points in a loss.
