Telekom Baskets claimed a crucial win in EuroChallenge Group L tonight. They held off Okapi Aalstar in Bonn behind pivotal performance from Kyle Weems. He exploded with 34 points as Bonn climbed at 2-2 record in the second position in the standings. Bonn overcame a 0-6 start to the game to take a 25:20 lead after ten minutes. The Belgian team used an 8:3 run midway through the second frame to get within one. The visitors surged ahead late in the first half and ensured a 40:39 halftime lead. The lead changed hands for several times throughout the third term before the hosts went on a 10:2 rally to enter the fourth frame up by 9 points 70:61. Kyle Weems opened the final period with five points in a row and Bonn never looked back en route to the win. Robert Vaden chipped in 15 points, while Chris Ensminger added 7 points for the winners. John Tofi answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds for Okapi Aalstar. Thomas Dreesen and Ryan Thompson had 16 points each in the loss.
