Khimik gained an important home win in EuroChallenge Top 16 Group K tonight. They held off visiting Tofas to jump at 2-2 record in the second place in the standings. Devoe Joseph provided 18 points to lead the winners. Tofas slipped at 1-3 record after the defeat. Tofas led 9:4 early in the game but Khimik quickly denied the deficit and surged ahead. The home team accumulated a 16:13 lead ten minutes into the game. The margin grew quickly to double digits early in the second quarter 25:13. Sava Lesic gave Khimik a 14-point lead late in the first half. They secured a 36:23 halftime lead. Khimik kept Tofas at bay throughout the third term. The home side entered the fourth frame up by 11 points 52:41. But Tofas opened the fourth quarter on a 7:2 run to narrow the deficit. Devoe Joseph came up with timely six points as Khimik regained a 12-point lead. They held on to the advantage throughout the remainder of the contest and got away with the victory at the end. Sava Lesic netted 11 points, while Suad Sehovic and Willie Deane added 10 points each for the winning side. Austin Nichols answered with 14 points for Tofas. Chinemelu Elonu posted 13 points and 12 boards in defeat.
