Semi-Finals Game 1: Gravelines - Krasnie Krilya 78-81

Omar Thomas nailed 28 points and grabbed 6 boards to pace Krasnie Krilya past Gravelines in the first EuroChallenge semifinal clash in Izmir. Krasnie Krilya started the game aggressively. The Samara team went on a 23:12 rally to clear off. Aaron Miles gave Krasnie Krilya a 41:29 lead late in the first half. However Gravelines capped the half with five straight points to narrow the gap 34:41. Gravelines used a 7:0 run midway through the third term to trim the deficit at just one point 52:53. Lamayn Wilson drained a timely three-pointer to keep Krasnie Krilya in charge. The Samara team ensured a 62:58 lead at the final intermission. However Gravelines went on a 4:0 spurt at the start of the fourth stanza to level things up at 62. Chester Simmons responded with seven straight points to give breathing room for the Russian team. Dwight Buycks and Kennedy Winston kept the intrigue alive with four points and later Dwight Buycks put Gravelines within just two points 72:74. But Omar Thomas converted a jumper and Collins followed with a treble to secure a 79:72 lead for Krasnie Krylia with just 36 seconds to go. Kennedy Winston and Johnson hit three-pointers but Collins went perfect from the line to seal the win for the Samara outfit. Chester Simmons finished with 16 points, while Lamayn Wilson had 15 points for the winning team. Dwight Buycks answered with 21 points for Grtavelines. Kennedy Winston chipped in 18 points in the loss.
