Ural opened win count in their EuroChallenge Group F campaign. They overcame visiting Tofas in Ekaterinburg tonight. Lance Harris finished with 19 points to pace the hosts. The lead changed hands for several times throughout intense first quarter. Tofas Bursa snatched a narrow 19:17 lead after the opening frame. The roller coaster action continued throughout the second frame. Ural capped the first half with six straight points to gain a 38:34 lead. Anton Glazunov drained a three-pointer to give the hosts a 45:36 lead early in the third term. The Russian team maintained the advantage as they entered the fourth period up by 11 points 59:48. Baranov and Lance Harris opened the fourth frame with five consecutive points to stretch the gap at 16-point mark. But Tofas returned into the game. Stipcevic hit a three-pointer to trigger a 12:2 run that put the Turkish team within four points with 56 seconds remaining in regulation. Ural held Tofas scoreless in the reminder of the contest and escaped with a narrow win at the end. Aaron McGhee provided 13 points, while Anton Glazunov added 10 points and 7 assists for Ural. Chinemelu Elonu responded with 23 points and 15 boards for Tofas. Marcus Denmon had 22 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
