Regular Season Round 5: Ventspils - TU/Rock 63-81

TU/Rock hand Ventspils their first loss at the EuroChallenge. The Estonian team posted a road 81:63 win for 2-2 record. Ventspils meanwhile fell at 3-1 record. It looked good early as Ventspils took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then TU/Rock had a 28-16 second period charge getting the lead and Ventspils were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-81. Tanel Kurbas orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points. Vincent Simpson contributed with 16 points for the winners. Ronalds Zakis answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Janis Timma added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Ventspils. TU/Rock will play against bottom-ranked Zepter Vienna in Wien in the next round. Ventspils will play on the road against Sodertalje Kings.
