Regular Season Round 6: Gaz Metan - Kormend 77-72

Gaz Metan head to Last 16 stage of EuroChallenge. The Romanian team posted a 77:72 win and grabbed 4-1 record on top of Group D. Kormend fell at 1-4 record and lost all the chances to advance. Kormend trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 25-13 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 72-77 at the end of the game. Gaz Metan made 18-of-23 free shots during the game. Kormend was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Kyle Shiloh who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Giorgos Tsiaras contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Muhammad El Amin replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Zarko Rakocevic added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kormend. Gaz Metan will face Triumph Lyubertsy in the next round to find out the winner of the group. Kormend will play on the road against BC Kyiv to escape the last spot.
