Second Stage Round 1: Antwerp - Gaz Metan 97-79

Antwerp outscore visiting Gaz Metan in their start of the Last 16 of EuroChallenge. Belgian Antwerp Giants defeated Romanian Gaz Metan at home 97-79. The game was mostly controlled by Antwerp Giants. Gaz Metan managed to win fourth quarter 28-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Antwerp Giants shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Barry Stewart fired 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Ryan Pearson chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Slavisa Bogavac produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and Montenegrin center Radomir Marojevic added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Antwerp Giants and four Gaz Metan players scored in double figures. Gaz Metan will play next round against Krasnie Krilya. Antwerp Giants will try to continue on its current victory against TU/Rock in Tartu.
