Royal Hali edge Ventspils in Latvia at the start of the EuroChallenge Last 16 Stage. The Turkish team posted a 72:61 win for the first success. Royal Hali led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Ventspils' 30. Serbian Dejan Borovnjak fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Baris Ermis chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Sandis Valters produced 15 points. Davis Lejasmeiers added 10 points respectively for lost side. Ventspils will play next round against strong JDA Dijon. Royal Hali will try to continue on its current victory against Triumph Lyubertsy.
