Second Stage Round 2: Ventspils - Dijon 69-59

Sandis Valters leads Ventspils past Dijon in Round 2 of EuroChallenge Last 16. The Latvian side used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from JDA Dijon 69:59. Ventspils improved to 1-1 record, while the French side fell at 0-2 record. The game was mostly controlled by Ventspils. JDA Dijon was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lorenzo Williams orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Sandis Valters contributed with 21 points for the winners. American swingman Mykal Riley replied with 8 points and 6 rebounds and Ferdinand Prenom added 10 points in the effort for JDA Dijon. Ventspils will face Triumph Lyubertsy in Lubertsy in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JDA Dijon will play at home against Royal Hali and hope to win that game.
