Second Stage Round 3: Ventspils - Triumph 66-71

Triumph overcame Ventspils in Group K of the EuroChallenge. The Russian side grabbed a 2-1 record after a 71:66 road win. The Baltic state fell at 1-2 record. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ventspils won third quarter 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for Kyle Kyle Landry who led the winners and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Cory Higgins accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Four Triumph Lyubertsy players scored in double figures. Janis Timma came up with 11 points and 5 assists and Maris Gulbis added 15 points respectively for Ventspils in the defeat. Triumph Lyubertsy will play against JDA Dijon at home in the next round, while Ventspils will play against Royal Hali.
