Second Stage Round 3: Cholet - Szolnok 70-85

Szolnok upset Cholet in France at the end of the EuroChallenge Round 3. The Hungarian team posted an 85:70 win for 2-1 record in Group J. Cholet meanwhile fell at 1-2 record. Cholet Basket was better in second period 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Szolnok shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Justin Holiday who led the winners and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Peter Lorant accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Four Szolnok players scored in double figures. Steeve Ho You Fat came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Anthony Goods added 21 points respectively for Cholet Basket in the defeat. Szolnok will play against Trenkwalder RE in Reggio Emilia in the next round, while Cholet Basket will play at home against Krka.
