Rovinari celebrated the opening victory in the EuroChallenge quarterfinal series. Energia earned a comfortable home in the best-of-three series. Milosevic nailed 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the victory. Rovinari built a comfortable 25:10 lead after the first term. Rovinari followed with a massive 31:9 rally in the second quarter to build an unassailable 56:19 halftime lead. Le Mans stopped the rot in the third term. The French team pulled within 26 points at the final intermission. Rovinari however stayed confident in the fourth term and eased to the victory. Glyniadakis and Watson produced 12 points each for the winners. Beaubois responded with 15 points for Le Mans. Wallace had 13 points in the loss.
