Finals Game 1: Trabzonspor - Nanterre 63-64

Nanterre wrote history at the Hayri Gur Arena today. They survived a heart-stopping final minutes in the Final clash versus Trabzonspor and celebrated their first ever European trophy. T.J. Campbell became the hero for Nanterre as he converted a buzzer-beating layup and sealed the victory for the French team. Nanterre stayed in charge throughout the first half. The French team eked out a 19:17 lead ten minutes into the game. The visitors boosted the gap in the second quarter. Nanterre piled up a 37:28 halftime advantage. However Trabzonspor got things rolling in the second half. The hosts improved offensively and cut the deficit at 6-point mark at the final intermission. Velickovic and Kaloyan Ivanov triggered an 8:0 run from the hosts early in the fourth frame as they grabbed a 57:56 lead. Kyle Weems stopped the rot for Nanterre giving them a 59:57 lead. He followed then with another triple as the French team gained a 62:59 advantage. However Hardy came up with four points in a row to make it 63:62 with 13 seconds remaining in regulation. T.J. Campbell missed a three-pointer but Passave grabbed a key offensive rebound and fed T.J. Campbell for a decisive layup. T.J. Campbell finished with 15 points, while Nzeulie added 14 points in the victory. Hardy responded with 16 points and 6 assists for Trabzonspor. Velickovic had 13 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.
