Regular Season Round 2: Kumanovo - KTP Basket 88-78

Kumanovo 2009 used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kotka 88-78 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Kumanovo 2009. KTP-Basket was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kumanovo 2009 dominated on the defensive end, holding KTP-Basket to just 6 points in second quarter. Kumanovo 2009 made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Serbian center Uros Lukovic (213-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Kumanovo 2009's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Devonne Giles (203-83, college: Texas Tech) replied with 13 points and point guard Michael Pounds (189-88) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for KTP-Basket. Five KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. Kumanovo 2009 will face Rosa in Radom in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KTP-Basket will play on the road against Turk Telekom in Ankara and hope to win that game.
