Regular Season Round 2: Inter Bratislava - Slask Wroclaw 96-81

There was a small surprise when Slovakian Inter Bratislava (1-1) won against at home Polish Slask (1-1) 96-81 on Wednesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Inter Bratislava forced 22 Slask turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Slask's players. Power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Martin Rancik (205-78, college: Iowa St.) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Inter Bratislava's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Brandon Heath (191-84, college: San Diego St.) replied with 27 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import power forward Jarvis Williams (203-93, college: Murray St.) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Slask. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava will face Siauliai on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slask will play against Royal Hali in Gaziantep and hope to win that game.
