Regular Season Round 5: Den Bosch - Chalon 73-98

Everything went according to plan when leader French Chalon/Saor (5-0) outplayed on the road 3rd placed Dutch Den Bosch (1-4) 98-73 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Chalon/Saor. Den Bosch was better in third quarter 28-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chalon/Saor shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American swingman Jeremy Hazell (191-86, college: Seton Hall) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. Point guard David Michineau (191-94) contributed with 16 points and 6 steals for the winners. Five Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Serbian-Canadian forward Dejan Kravic (211-90, college: Texas Tech) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian point guard Leon Williams (183-91, agency: Court Side) added 10 points and 6 assists in the effort for Den Bosch. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chalon/Saor have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group D with 5-0 record. Den Bosch lost fourth consecutive game. Defending Dutch champion keeps the third position with four games lost. Chalon/Saor will face bottom-ranked Zlatorog (#4) in Lasko in the next round. Den Bosch will play on the road against the league's second-placed Gussing Knights and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
