Regular Season Round 6: Sopron KC - Cibona 91-72

There was a small surprise when fourth ranked Hungarian Sopron KC (1-5) outscored at home second-best Croatian Cibona (3-3) 91-72 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Sopron KC. Cibona was better in third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sopron KC shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. Gergely Toth (206-89, agency: Interperformances) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian power forward Edin Bavcic (209-84, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Five Sopron KC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Filip Kruslin (198-89, agency: Beo Basket) with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and center Ivica Zubac (212-97) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sopron KC maintains fourth position in Group B with 1-5 record, which they share with Rieker KN. Loser Cibona keeps the second place with three games lost.
