Rather predictable result when Turkish Turk Telekom (2-0) rolled over on the road Swedish Boras Basket (0-2) 114-86 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 63-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Turk Telekom dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Boras Basket's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points. The other American import point guard J'Covan Brown (188-90, college: Texas) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Turk Telekom's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Croatian forward Toni Vitali (203-91) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Christian Maraker (207-82, college: Pacific) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Boras Basket. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Turk Telekom will face Oostende on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boras Basket will play against Slask in Wroclaw and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
