Second Stage Round 4: TU/Rock - Chalon 80-91

Rather expected game in Tartu where 4th ranked Estonian TU/Rock (0-4) was defeated by top-ranked French Chalon/Saor (4-0) 91-80 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 34-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Chalon/Saor looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists for the winners. The other American import swingman Jeremy Hazell (191-86, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 24 points and 5 steals. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Brian Harper (206-85, college: Paine, agency: HMS) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and Lithuanian center Karolis Petrukonis (212-87, college: Clemson) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Chalon/Saor have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group R with 4-0 record. Defending Estonian champion TU/Rock still closes the standings with four games lost. Chalon/Saor will face league's second-placed Enisey in Krasnoyarsk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TU/Rock will play on the road against AV Cantu and hopes to get finally their first victory.
