We should not miss a road victory of third ranked Belarusian Tsmoki-Minsk (2-3) over 4th placed Austrian Gussing Knights (1-4) 89-88. Gussing Knights were ahead by 10 points after three quarters before a 25-14 charge of Tsmoki-Minsk, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian-Bulgarian guard Branko Mirkovic (190-82, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. American swingman Bradford Burgess (198-90, college: VCU, agency: Interperformances) produced 23 points (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!) and point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-90, agency: Two Points) added 15 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Gussing Knights' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending Belarusian champion maintains third place in Group V with 2-3 record having just seven point less than leader ASVEL. Gussing Knights lost fourth consecutive game. Defending Austrian champion keep the fourth position with four games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk's next round opponent will be league's second-placed AEK in Larnaca and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gussing Knights will play at home against the league's leader Openjobmetis VA and hope to win that game.
