Second Stage Round 5: Rosa Radom - Sodertalje 81-77

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fourth ranked Polish Rosa (1-4) defeated 3rd placed Swedish Sodertalje Kings (1-4) in Radom 81-77 on Wednesday. American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points. Swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Rosa players scored in double figures. Rosa's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Swedish-American guard Chris Czerapowicz (201-91, college: Davidson, agency: Two Points) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 23 points in the effort for Sodertalje Kings. Rosa left bottom position moving up to third place in Group U, which they share with Sodertalje. It was Sodertalje Kings' third loss in a row. Rosa will face league's leader Deutsche Bank Skyliners in Frankfurt in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sodertalje Kings will play at home against the league's second-placed Royal Hali and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
