Chalon toppled Oostende to advance into the next round of the tournament. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 34-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Chalon/Saor made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Oostende helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American center Devin Booker (203-91, college: Clemson) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Jeremy Hazell (191-86, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian center Rasko Katic (208-80, agency: Beo Basket) who recorded 24 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Kyle Gibson (196-87, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Beo Basket) added 21 points and 5 assists respectively. Five Chalon/Saor and four Oostende players scored in double figures.
