An interesting game was also home loss of Austria Redwell Gunners Oberwart in a game versus undefeated French Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#1) 81-66. The game was mostly controlled by Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Redwell Gunners Oberwart managed to win third quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pau-Lacq-Orthez looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Redwell Gunners Oberwart's players. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for point guard D.J. Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 assists. Ronald Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Five Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. Guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Derek Jackson (185-91, college: Kent St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 17 points respectively for Redwell Gunners Oberwart in the defeat. Redwell Gunners Oberwart's coach tested ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will play against TU/Rock and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
