A very close game took place in Oberwart between Austrian Redwell Gunners Oberwart and Estonia TU/Rock. Second ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (2-1) got a very close home victory over one of their biggest challengers TU/Rock (0-3). Redwell Gunners Oberwart managed to escape with a 3-point win 79-76 in the fight for the second place. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-76. American guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The other American import point guard Derek Jackson (185-91, college: Kent St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) chipped in 21 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Loser TU/Rock still closes the standings with three games lost. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TU/Rock will play against the league's leader Pau-Lacq-Orthez and hopes to get finally their first victory.
