Everything went according to plan when top-ranked French JSF Nanterre (4-0) outscored at home 3rd ranked Hungarian Sopron KC (1-3) 106-75 on Wednesday. The game without a history. JSF Nanterre led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Sopron KC's 44. They outrebounded Sopron KC 39-23 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. JSF Nanterre looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Spencer Butterfield (190-92, college: Utah St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigeria forward Talib Zanna (206-90, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Three Eye Sports) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Jay Threatt (180-89, college: Delaware St.) responded with 13 points and 4 assists and power forward Balint Elo (205-93) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JSF Nanterre have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group D with 4-0 record. Loser Sopron KC keeps the third place with three games lost. JSF Nanterre will face FC Porto Ferpinta (#4) on the road in the next round. Sopron KC will play against the league's second-placed Antwerp Giants and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
