An interesting game was also home defeat of 3rd ranked Hungarian Kormend in a game versus Dutch Groningen (#2) 79-72. Kormend was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Kormend 39-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. American point guard Lance Jeter (191-88, college: Nebraska) notched 26 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Croatian power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84, agency: Court Side) supported him with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Five Groningen players scored in double figures. Even 31 points and 5 rebounds by American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) did not help to save the game for Kormend. American forward Terry Allen (203-93, college: Richmond) added 17 points and 5 rebounds. Defending Dutch champion maintains second position in Group B with 4-2 record having just ten point less than leader Chalon, which they share with BK Pardubice. Loser Kormend keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Apoel.
