Second Stage Round 3: Antwerp - Prievidza 111-94

An interesting game for Belgian Antwerp Giants (2-1) which hosted in Antwerp Slovakian Prievidza (1-2). Antwerp Giants had an easy win 111-94. Prievidza was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 61-42 second half run of Antwerp Giants. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Prievidza's 40 and made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Antwerp Giants especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Prievidza's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Mike Smith (198-87, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Inception Sports) who scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Jason Clark (188-90, college: Georgetown) chipped in 26 points and 9 assists. Antwerp Giants' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Andre Jones (191-90, college: Winthrop) who recorded 20 points and 4 assists and Richard Korner (197-90) added 20 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively. Five Antwerp Giants and four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Antwerp Giants' next round opponent will be Demir IBB in Buyukcekmece and it will be for sure the game of the week. Prievidza will play at home against Gravelines-Dunkerque and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
