First defeat of Hungarian Alba (2-1) against French Pau-Lacq-Orthez (2-1) 89-63 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-63. Pau-Lacq-Orthez outrebounded Alba 41-29 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Alba's players. It was a good game for American point guard D.J. Ivorian-French center Alain Koffi (207-83, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures.
