Second Stage Round 4: Prievidza - Gravelines 68-79

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Slovakian Prievidza (1-3) against fourth ranked French Gravelines-Dunkerque (1-3) on Wednesday night. Host Prievidza was defeated by Gravelines-Dunkerque in Prievidza 79-68. The game without a history. Gravelines-Dunkerque led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Gravelines-Dunkerque had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Richard Solomon (208-92, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Justin Cobbs (191-91, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Gravelines-Dunkerque's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (208-86, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian power forward Milan Milovanovic (205-91, agency: 011 Sports) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque left bottom position moving up to third place in Group L, which they share with defeated Prievidza. It was Prievidza's third loss in a row. Gravelines-Dunkerque will face league's leader Antwerp Giants at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Prievidza will play against the league's second-placed Demir IBB in Buyukcekmece and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
