Second Stage Round 6: Gaziantep - Chalon 92-80

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of French Chalon/Saor (5-1) on the court of second ranked Turkish Gaziantep on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Gaziantep 92-80. The game was mostly controlled by Gaziantep. Chalon/Saor managed to win fourth quarter 26-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gaziantep looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) notched 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Croatian power forward Tomislav Ruzic (207-79, agency: XL Basketball Agency) supported him with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Five Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Even 25 points by American swingman Cameron Clark (201-91, college: Oklahoma) did not help to save the game for Chalon/Saor. Center Moustapha Fall (218-92) added 8 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Gaziantep keeps a position of Group K leader, which they share with Enisey.
