Second Stage Round 6: Tsmoki-Minsk - Nanterre 88-82

Second defeat of group's leader French JSF Nanterre (4-2) against third ranked Belarusian Tsmoki-Minsk (3-3) 88-82 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Tsmoki-Minsk shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 65.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Dru Joyce (184-85, college: Akron) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Montenegrin Nemanja Milosevic (204-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Tsmoki-Minsk's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. German point guard Heiko Schaffartzik (183-84) replied with 18 points and 9 assists and American point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) added 17 points and 6 assists in the effort for JSF Nanterre. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending Belarusian champion maintains third position in Group N with 3-3 record having just nine point less than leader Chalon, which they share with Lukoil Acad. JSF Nanterre at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Groningen. They were replaced at the leadership position by Chalon.
