The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hungarian Kormend as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group N. Kormend edged 4th ranked Israeli Bnei Hasharon at home 91-88. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Kormend made 25-of-32 charity shots (78.1 percent) during the game. Bnei Hasharon was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Sterling Gibbs (188-92, college: Connecticut, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Petty is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and American-Georgian point guard Taurean Green (183-85, college: Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Groningen. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost.
