Everything could happen in Szombathely at the game between two tied teams. Both thirtieth ranked Russian BC Nizhny Novgorod and 31th ranked Hungarian Falco-Vulcano had identical 2-1 record. But Falco-Vulcano was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Nizhny Novgorod 84-79 on Tuesday night. It was a key game for the top position in Group H. Swingman Zoltan Perl (195-95) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) added 24 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Falco-Vulcano players scored in double figures. BC Nizhny Novgorod (3-1) keeps a position of Group H leader, which they share with Szolnok. Loser Falco-Vulcano dropped to the third place with two games lost. BC Nizhny Novgorod will face Karpos Sokoli (#4) in Skopje in the next round. Falco-Vulcano will play on the road against the league's leader Szolnok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
