Regular Season Round 5: Den Bosch - Nes-Ziona 102-87

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Dutch Den Bosch (3-2) beat at home second-ranked Israeli Ironi Nes-Ziona (3-2) 102-87 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Den Bosch. Ironi Nes-Ziona was better in third quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Den Bosch made 37-of-45 free shots (82.2 percent) during the game. Ironi Nes-Ziona was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Keshun Sherrill (175-94, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 17 points and 7 assists for the winners and British-Dutch guard Devon Van-Oostrum (190-93, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 22 points. American swingman Daequan Cook (196-87, college: Ohio St.) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American-Puerto Rican guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: W.Virginia) scored 11 points and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Den Bosch moved-up to second place in Group D, which they share with defeated Ironi Nes-Ziona. Den Bosch will face league's leader Avtodor in Saratov in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play on the road against BK Pardubice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
