Another exciting game was played in Lisbona between first ranked German BBC Bayreuth and second-ranked Portuguese Benfica where BBC Bayreuth (4-1) beat Benfica (3-2) on the road 91-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Benfica. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Benfica was ahead by 16 points at the halftime before a 57-27 second half run of BBC Bayreuth. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Forward Lukas Meisner (203-95, college: Columbia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Bastian Doreth (182-89) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four BBC Bayreuth players scored in double figures.
